Hey there. Excellent commentary to help (almost newbie help) with side-stepping the scum while deploying KazaaLite.

Not sure why the original KL site is no longer responding, but we should expect it is the badguy$, again.

Of particular interest, coming out of that KazaaLite of circa 2003, was a %sysdir%/HOSTS file that cut off crap Ads at the knees, by simply asking YOUR OWN MACHINE (localhost, 127.0.0.1) for the ad-file. Your machine would say, "sorry, no such service/file" and the requesting HTML page would show a blank area, where the crap would normally darken your screen.

That makes a lot of sense outside Kazaa, and should be maintained just like the spam black-lists (but by more reasonable folk).

Hi - I have been having troubles with my defrag.msc file it wont open and comes up with snapin failed to initialize - I tried doing your fix but when I run the regsvr32 commands it comes back with - DllRegisterServer in dfrgui.dll failed. Return code was 0x80040154 - and the same message for the file - I had installed disk keeper but have since uninstalled - I still have perfect disk installed - can I run both the standard defragger and Perfect Disk together??

I came across your site from Google in search of a solution to fix my ballpoint pen.

Your method totally works! By drawing on glass (or tiles, or any other shiny and tough surfaces) it fixed my pen! I was reluctant to use a lighter and heat it like the other sites recommended.

I wish I could've come to this site earlier... I chucked away so many nice pens :(
